Hard-throwing righty Spencer Strider (1-0 2.45 ERA) will make his fourth start of the year for the Braves. Through 14 plus innings, Strider has retired 18 batters by strikes and allowed just one long ball while posting a solid 1.23 WHIP.

Marlins Preview

The Miami Marlins are a game above .500 at home and are 12 games off the pace in the NL East Division race. During Wednesday’s home loss, Miami was limited to four hits and scored their only run on a first inning sacrifice fly. SP Janson Junk (2-5) was tagged for eight runs in five innings and took the loss for the Marlins, who fell to 22-28 overall.

The Marlins will turn to 2022 National League Cy Young Award winner Sandy Alcantara (3-2 3.53 ERA) in the series finale. Last time out, Alcantara (6 IP) allowed one run and struck out six batters during a 10-5 road victory against Tampa Bay.
