On Sunday, rookie OF Daylen Lile reached base four times and scored a run to spark Washington to a 4-3 home victory versus Pittsburgh. 3B Paul DeJong went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI for the Nationals (62-87), who improved to 31-43 at home.

The Nationals will counter with struggling southpaw Mitchell Parker (8-15 5.69 ERA) in the series opener. Through 153 plus innings, Parker has surrendered 24 long balls and sports a subpar 1.44 WHIP.
