The Cubs (51-40) have won eight of their last 11 games and trail NL Central Division leading Milwaukee by 6.5 games. Last night, C Miguel Amaya reached base three times and scored three runs out of the nine hole to spark Chicago to a 5-2 road victory.

Thirty-six year old righty Colin Rea (6-5 4.74 ERA) will take the mound for the Cubs in this matchup. In his last start, Rea (5 IP) allowed two runs and retired five batters by strikes during a 23-3 home victory versus San Diego.

Orioles Preview

The Baltimore Orioles have dropped seven of their previous 11 games and have fallen into the AL East Division basement. During Tuesday’s home loss, Baltimore batters went 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position and left seven men on base. C Adley Rutschman went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs for the Orioles (42-50), who fell to 24-24 at home.

Baltimore manager Craig Albernaz will turn to thirty year old right-hander Dean Kremer (1-1 3.18 ERA) on Wednesday. Last time out, Kremer (6 IP) allowed four hits and one run during a 6-1 home victory versus Chicago.
