The New York Yankees have won seven of their last ten games and are 2.5 games clear of Tampa Bay for the top spot in the AL East Division. During yesterday’s home loss, OF Cody Bellinger collected two of New York’s eight hits and scored a run. Veteran DH Paul Goldschmidt started the scoring with a first inning solo shot for the Yankees (46-29), who fell to 22-14 at home.

The Yankees will counter with 2023 American League Cy Young Award winner Gerrit Gole (2-1 2.57 ERA) in the series finale. Last time out, Cole (6 IP) allowed two runs and struck out six batters during a 12-2 home victory versus Chicago.
