Detroit’s Wild Card success came from timely hitting and steady pitching. Julio Rodríguez was a steady producer with 174 hits, 32 homers, and 95 RBIs, while Jorge Polanco and J.P. Crawford added extra power and strong on-base percentages. The Mariners finished with 238 home runs and drew more than 500 walks.
