Last night, Los Angeles batters managed just two singles during a 4-0 road loss against Detroit.

Twenty-six year old righty Grayson Rodriguez (1-1 10.61 ERA) will make his third start of the year for the Angels. Last time out, Rodriguez (5.2 IP) gave up four runs and fanned five batters during a 9-6 home victory versus Texas.

Tigers Preview

The Detroit Tigers are a game above .500 at home and are ten games out of first place in the AL Central Division. During Wednesday’s home victory, 1B Spencer Torkelson doubled twice and added a solo shot to power the Detroit offense. SP Casey Mize fired four shutout frames and fanned six batters for the Tigers, who improved to an underwhelming 22-34 overall.

Detroit skipper A.J. Hinch will turn to struggling right-hander Jack Flaherty (0-6 5.94 ERA) in the series finale. In his last start, Flaherty (3.1 IP) was knocked around for eight hits and six runs (3 ER) during a 7-4 road loss against Baltimore.
