NL East Division rivals will square off on Monday night, when the New York Mets and the Atlanta Braves conclude their series from Truist Park. On Sunday, 3B Bo Bichette went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and SS Francisco Lindor scored three times to lead New York to a 109-9 road victory.

Thirty year old right-hander Freddy Peralta (5-7 4.81 ERA) will head to the hill for the Mets in this contest. New York has dropped Peralta’s previous three starts and he has surrendered an alarming 22 runs (18 ER) across his last 12 plus frames.

Braves Preview

The Atlanta Braves have won 27 of their first 44 home games and are three games clear of Philadelphia for first place. During yesterday’s home loss, Atlanta trailed by seven runs entering the bottom of the ninth inning. C Drake Baldwin crushed a grand slam as part of a six-run inning, but the rally fell just short. Michael Harris II went 2-for-5 with three RBIs for the Braves, who fell to 52-36 overall.

Atlanta skipper Walt Weiss will turn to veteran right-hander Reynaldo Lopez (3.31 ERA) on Monday. Last time out, Lopez (5 IP) allowed one run and retired six batters by strikes during a 5-1 home victory versus St. Louis.
