On Saturday, Pittsburgh OF Oneil Cruz walked three times and swiped his 21st base of the year during a 6-3 road loss against Atlanta.

Twenty-three year old righty Bubba Chandler (2-6 4.89 ERA) will take the mound for the Pirates in this matchup. Last time out, Chandler (5 IP) gave up six hits and four runs during a 10-6 road victory against Houston.

Braves Preview

The Atlanta Braves have won eight of their last 11 games and are nine games clear of Philadelphia for the top spot in the NL East Division. During yesterday’s home victory, leadoff hitter Ronald Acuna Jr. went 2-for-4 and scored a pair of runs to spark the Atlanta offense. DH Dominic Smith added a two-run shot for the Braves (44-21), who improved to 21-11 at home.

Atlanta manager Walt Weiss will give the nod to twenty-seven year old righty Bryce Elder (5-3 2.63 ERA) in the series finale. In his last start, Elder (6.2 IP) allowed three runs and struck out six batters during a 4-3 home victory versus Toronto.
