In Tuesday night MLB action, the San Francisco Giants will invade PNC Park to take on the Pittsburgh Pirates. Be ready for the baseball season with all of our MLB predictions. Last night, Turner Hill delivered a pinch-hit two-run double in the sixth inning to propel San Francisco to a 7-3 road victory against Atlanta. DH Rafael Devers contributed his 30th home run and scored twice.

Twenty-nine year old righty Logan Webb (8-8 3.72 ERA) has been one of the few bright spots for the Giants this year. Through 147 plus innings, Webb has limited opponents to just 11 home runs and ranks 15th in the majors with a 1.10 WHIP.

Pirates Preview

The Pittsburgh Pirates have split their previous ten games and are six games back in the race for the final National League Wild Card spot. On Sunday, Pittsburgh OF Esmerlyn Valdez started the scoring with a two-run blast and SS Jared Triolo added a solo shot during a 5-4 road victory against St. Louis. SP Braxton Ashcraft (14-5) allowed two runs in five innings to earn the win for the Pirates, who improved to 67-71 on the year.

The Pirates will counter with reigning National League Cy Young Award winner Paul Skenes (9-11 3.79 ERA) in the series opener. Through 145 innings of work, Skenes ranks ninth in the majors with 175 strikeouts and owns a sparkling 1.12 WHIP.
