Last night, OF Jordan Walker started the scoring with a three-run blast and added an RBI single to lead St. Louis to an 11-5 road victory against Atlanta.

Twenty-seven year old righty Andre Pallante (9-5 3.83 ERA) will take the mound for the Cardinals in this matchup. Last time out, Pallante (6.2 IP) was roughed up for 11 hits and five runs during a 5-1 home loss versus Miami.

Cubs Preview

The Chicago Cubs are riding a five-game winning streak and trail division leading Milwaukee by 5.5 games. On Wednesday, SS Dansby Swanson crushed three long balls and drove in eight runs to power Chicago to a 23-3 home victory versus San Diego. Michael Conforto went 3-for-4 with two home runs and scored four times for the Cubs (49-38), who improved to 26-17 at home.

Thirty year old left-hander David Peterson (4-6 5.86 ERA) will make his second start as a member of the Cubs. Peterson, who was acquired in a trade with the New York Mets, has fanned 65 batters and owns a subpar 1.59 WHIP across 73 plus frames.
