Last night, St. Louis SP Michael McGreevy (3-4) was roughed up for five runs and lasted just four innings during a 6-0 road loss against Milwaukee.

Twenty-eight year old righty Dustin May (3-5 5.00 ERA) will head to the hill for the Cardinals in this contest. Last time out, May (5.1 IP) gave up four runs and retired seven batters by strikes during a 6-2 home loss versus Pittsburgh.

Brewers Preview

The Milwaukee Brewers have made the playoffs in seven of their previous eight seasons, but have just two playoff series wins to show for that. During Tuesday’s home victory, Milwaukee erupted for five runs in the fifth inning on a William Contreras two-run double and a Garrett Mitchell three-run blast. SP Kyle Harrison (6-1) fired six shutout frames to earn the win for the Brewers (32-20), who moved to 18-11 at home.

Milwaukee manager Pat Murphy will turn to twenty-four year old righty Logan Henderson (2-1 2.74 ERA) in the series finale. The Brewers have won Henderson’s previous three starts and he has allowed just three runs over his last 15 innings.
