The Grizzlies (3-3) rank in the bottom third of the league in defensive efficiency and are surrendering 122 points per game. On Friday, Memphis was outscored by 19 points during the second half of a 117-112 home loss versus Los Angeles.

Jaylen Wells and Jock Landale led six Memphis players in double figures on a combined 13-for-24 shooting effort. All-Star F Jaren Jackson Jr. added 15 points (6-8 FG) and four rebounds. Ja Morant missed 11 of 14 field goal attempts and finished with a measly eight points for the Grizzlies.

Raptors Preview

The Toronto Raptors have missed the playoffs in four of the previous five seasons and are on the rise in the Eastern Conference. The Raptors (2-4) have surrendered 120 plus points in each of their four losses and must improve a defense that ranks 26th in the league in efficiency. On Friday, Toronto limited Cleveland to 40 percent shooting during a 112–101 road victory.

Brandon Ingram, R.J. Barrett, and Jamison Battle led the way for Toronto with 20 points apiece on a combined 22-for-37 from the field. Scottie Barnes added 14 points (6-14 FG), ten rebounds, and five assists for the Raptors.
