Rowan Profs Preview

Rowan comes off a 21–8 season and an NCAA Division III Tournament, eliminated in the third round. Senior guard Khalif Meares leads the way after averaging 18.9 points and earning NJAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year honors last season. Senior forward Jamir Spivey, the top rebounder from last year, returns to anchor the inside.

Head coach Eric Brennan’s team plays fast and looks to score early in possessions. The Profs opened their preseason at Rider and continue to test themselves against higher-level programs before starting conference play. Rowan brings a mix of veteran guards and younger players to a lineup that can press and shoot from the outside.

Penn Quakers Preview

Penn starts its season under new head coach Fran McCaffery, a Penn alum known for his attacking style and tempo-based approach. The Quakers finished 8–19 last year but added several transfers and key recruits.

Junior forward TJ Power, a former five-star prospect who transferred from Virginia, headlines the roster. Senior guard Ethan Roberts returns after scoring 16.8 points per game last season, and senior wing Michael Zanoni adds perimeter shooting after a strong finish to 2024–25. Penn also has size inside with freshman centers William Kruse and Dalton Scantlebury.

The Quakers expect to push the pace and create scoring chances through spacing and movement. With more experience and offensive talent, they’ll use this game to establish McCaffery’s style before non-conference matchups with Saint Joseph’s and Rutgers.
