SE Louisiana Lions Preview

SE Louisiana was held to 58 points in its first game, shooting 34% from the field in a loss at Ole Miss. Jaiden Lawrence scored 15 points on 5-of-14 shooting, and Makhi Myles added 10 points with two assists. CJ Booker went 2-for-2 from the floor for seven points, while Kyle Edison scored seven with three rebounds.

The Lions totaled 26 rebounds and 14 assists but turned the ball over 13 times. The Lions hit six threes on 24 attempts and made 15 of 25 free throws. SE Louisiana showed some movement on offense but struggled to convert inside. The Lions need more control from their guards to compete with Louisiana’s faster pace.

Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Preview

Louisiana scored 64 points in its opener, shooting 42.4% from the field at Ball State. Jamyron Keller led the Cajuns with 21 points and four assists, and Jaxon Olvera added 13 points and six rebounds. De’Vion Lavergne contributed 10 points and four assists, while Dorian Finister added four points, three assists, and four steals.

The Ragin' Cajuns finished with 29 rebounds and 13 assists while shooting 9-for-28 from three-point range. They forced 12 turnovers but gave up 75 points on the road. Keller led the scoring load with 20 shot attempts and should again set the pace for Louisiana, which has a deeper bench and more scoring options than SE Louisiana.
