Bryant vs Army Picks and Prediction for Saturday September 5 2026

Scenic Michie Stadium will play host to a Saturday afternoon college football matchup between the Bryant Bulldogs and the Army Black Knights. Make sure you are ready for all the football action with our college football picks. The FCS Bulldogs (1-0) lost eight of their last nine games to close the 2025 campaign, but did manage to upset UMass by a 27-26 final score. On Friday, Bryant erupted for 17 points in the fourth quarter to capture a 24-6 road victory against CAA conference foe Stonehill.

Bryant took a 7-3 lead into halftime on a ten-yard O.J. Ross touchdown run. Ross finished with a game-high 102 rushing yards on 18 carries. Jordan Bennett and Brennan Myer added short touchdown plunges to stake the Bulldogs to a 21-3 fourth quarter advantage. Bryant converted 5-for-13 third down attempts and did not turn the ball over.

Army Preview

The Army Black Knights are entering their third season as a member of the American Conference and have won eight of their first 12 conference tilts. The Black Knights (7-6) ranked fifth in the nation in rushing a season ago and there is plenty of optimism for the ground success to continue with four starters returning on the offensive line. Senior QB Cale Hellums will direct the offense and he led the Black Knights with 1,223 rushing yards in 2025.

Army led the American Conference in total defense and allowed 21.6 points per contest. A deeper look reveals that the Black Knights managed just 15 sacks and struggled against some of the more potent offenses. Ball control will be the key to keeping the defense fresh throughout the year.
