In the conference championship game, BYU turned the ball over four times during a 34-7 loss against fourth ranked Texas Tech.

Junior RB L.J. Martin put BYU on the scoreboard first with a 10-yard touchdown run and finished with 76 rushing yards. Freshman QB Bear Bachmeier was picked off twice and threw for just 115 yards. Parker Kingston added four receptions for 44 yards in a losing effort for the Cougars.
