Houston Preview

Quarterback Conner Weigman has passed for 1,581 yards and 12 touchdowns with just two interceptions, completing nearly 64% of his throws. His top options are Amare Thomas (535 yards, four touchdowns) and tight end Tanner Koziol (450 yards, four touchdowns). Running back Dean Connors leads with 586 rushing yards and four scores, while Weigman is a dual-threat with 354 rushing yards and eight touchdowns.

On defense, linebacker Jalen Garner leads with 53 tackles, and defensive lineman Eddie Walls III has 5.5 sacks. The Cougars have already beaten Arizona and Oklahoma State on the road, showing they can handle pressure situations away from home. Houston’s offense has been productive, with multiple scoring drives per half over its last four games.

UCF Preview

Quarterback Tayven Jackson has thrown for 1,183 yards with five touchdowns and two interceptions. His top targets include Duane Thomas Jr. (316 yards) and DJ Black (240 yards, two touchdowns). The Knights rely heavily on the run game—Myles Montgomery leads with 522 yards and three touchdowns, while Jaden Nixon adds 405 yards and six touchdowns on limited carries.

Linebacker Lewis Carter leads UCF with 44 tackles, and Malachi Lawrence has recorded four sacks. Kicker Noe Ruelas has been a bright spot, converting 11 of 12 field goals with two makes from beyond 50 yards. The Knights’ offense has played well at times, but consistency remains an issue against Big 12 defenses.

Houston at UCF Prediction

Houston’s passing game and balanced offense give it the edge. UCF will try to control tempo with its run game, but Houston’s experience and red-zone scoring will make the difference. Final Score Prediction: Houston Cougars win and cover ATS 33-13
