Pittsburgh has found success behind quarterback Eli Holstein, who’s thrown for 1,058 yards with 11 touchdowns on 63% passing. Juelz Goff adds balance on the ground with 175 yards and three rushing touchdowns, though Pitt has leaned heavily on the passing attack in recent weeks. The Panthers have averaged over 37 points per game in the last three wins, highlighted by back-to-back dominant home victories before the road upset at Florida State.

Pitt’s defensive front has been the backbone of the team’s success. Blaine Spires leads with two sacks, while linebacker Rasheem Biles tops the tackle chart at 44. Syracuse Preview

Syracuse enters at 3-3 and 1-2 in the ACC after falling 31-18 to SMU and 38-3 to Duke in consecutive weeks. Quarterback Steve Angeli has thrown for 1,317 yards with 10 touchdowns to just two interceptions, showing command but often getting little help from his running game. Yasin Willis has been a bright spot with 337 rushing yards and four scores, while Johntay Cook’s 390 receiving yards lead the team. However, the Orange have averaged just 20 points in the last three outings after starting the year fast against weaker competition.

The Orange defense has struggled against high-tempo passing teams, allowing 34 points or more in three of the last four contests. The secondary will be tested again by Pitt’s vertical passing attack, and if Angeli can’t sustain drives, Syracuse could face a time-of-possession problem.
