Tulsa’s best chance comes on the ground with Dominic Richardson already at 296 rushing yards on 53 carries. Quarterback Kirk Francis has 318 passing yards with two touchdowns and one interception, spreading the ball mostly to Zion Booker, who has 214 receiving yards. Tulsa’s offense moves methodically down the field using conservative plays over big plays.

The defense has struggled, especially against the run, giving up 367 yards to Navy last week. The pass rush has produced some results, with Byron Turner Jr. recording 3.5 sacks, but open-field tackling remains an issue. If Tulsa cannot stop early down runs, Oklahoma State will be able to control the pace.

Quarterback Zane Flores has had a rough start, completing 20 of 39 passes for 203 yards with two interceptions. Backup Hauss Hejny has shown talent in limited work. The run game has been led by Kalib Hicks with 119 yards. The Cowboys are still trying to find balance and avoid the negative yardage plays that doomed them at Oregon.

On defense, Oklahoma State is led by linebacker Bryan McCoy Jr. with 23 tackles and Taje McCoy, who has three sacks.
