2026 U.S. Open Title Odds After the Draw | Polymarket Live Odds

By: Devin Erickson-Sheehy Published 08/30/2026, 10:00 AM ET

The 2026 U.S. Open singles draws are official, and the championship picture has tightened considerably before the first main-draw matches begin Sunday.

Carlos Alcaraz remains the favorite in the men's U.S. Open winner market on Polymarket, but his probability has fallen to approximately 26%.

Alexander Zverev has moved closer at roughly 23%, while Novak Djokovic sits near 10% and Taylor Fritz has climbed into the next group around 8%.

The women's market remains even more open.

Aryna Sabalenka leads the women's U.S. Open winner market on Polymarket at approximately 23%.

Coco Gauff follows near 16%, while Iga Swiatek sits around 15%.

The official draw helps explain why the markets remain so competitive.

Alcaraz landed in the same half as Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev.

Zverev received the top seed and occupies the opposite half.

On the women's side, Gauff could eventually meet Mirra Andreeva, while Swiatek and Elena Rybakina were placed on a potential quarterfinal collision course.

2026 U.S. Open Men's Title Odds After the Draw

Alcaraz remains the men's favorite, but his advantage over Zverev has become remarkably small.

Player Polymarket Title Chance
Carlos Alcaraz 26%
Alexander Zverev 23%
Novak Djokovic 10%
Taylor Fritz 8%
Arthur Fils 7%
Ben Shelton 6%

More than $12 million has been traded across the men's championship market.

The most important feature is the lack of separation between the top two.

Alcaraz had been trading around 35% earlier in Fan Week.

His current number is closer to 26%.

Zverev, meanwhile, has moved from roughly 20% into the 23% range.

The official draw is not the only reason for that movement.

Alcaraz is returning from a four-month wrist injury absence and has extremely limited competitive preparation.

But the bracket has added another source of uncertainty around the defending champion.

Alcaraz Lands in the Loaded Bottom Half

Alcaraz begins his title defense against Roman Safiullin.

The larger concern comes deeper in the bracket.

The defending champion shares the bottom half with Djokovic, Medvedev, Shelton and several other dangerous hard-court players.

If the seeds hold, Alcaraz and Shelton could meet in the quarterfinals.

Djokovic and Medvedev are projected into another quarterfinal in the same half.

That creates the possibility of Alcaraz facing Shelton in the last eight and then Djokovic or Medvedev simply to reach the championship match.

For a healthy and fully match-ready Alcaraz, that would already represent a demanding path.

The uncertainty surrounding his wrist and four months away from singles competition makes it more significant.

That combination helps explain why traders have reduced the favorite's championship probability.

Zverev's Side of the Draw Looks More Favorable

Zverev received the No. 1 seed following Jannik Sinner's withdrawal.

He opens against Lorenzo Sonego.

His projected quarterfinal opponent is Alex de Minaur.

The other quarter on Zverev's half is led by Felix Auger-Aliassime and Flavio Cobolli.

That does not guarantee an easy route.

Grand Slam brackets rarely develop exactly according to the seeds.

But Zverev avoided having Alcaraz, Djokovic and Medvedev on his side of the draw.

That matters when assessing his current 23% Polymarket probability.

The Roland Garros champion was already the second choice before Thursday's draw.

The bracket now gives him a clearer theoretical route to the championship match than the one facing Alcaraz.

Alcaraz and Zverev Are Nearly Co-Favorites

The current market no longer looks like one dominant favorite followed by a large second tier.

Alcaraz sits around 26%.

Zverev is around 23%.

That is only a few percentage points of separation.

The two players bring very different risk profiles into New York.

Alcaraz has the stronger recent Grand Slam résumé when healthy and is the defending champion.

Zverev has substantially more recent competitive tennis.

He won Roland Garros earlier this year and followed it by reaching the Wimbledon final.

His North American hard-court results were less impressive, but there is no comparable question about a four-month competitive layoff.

The draw has made that contrast even more important.

Djokovic Remains Dangerous at 10%

Djokovic currently carries roughly a 10% championship probability.

He begins against Mariano Navone.

The four-time U.S. Open champion could face another former major champion early, with Stan Wawrinka and Matteo Berrettini positioned nearby.

The projected bracket becomes considerably more difficult later.

Medvedev is the seeded quarterfinal opponent.

Alcaraz would then be a possible semifinal opponent.

That gives Djokovic one of the most difficult theoretical routes among the leading contenders.

The market still refuses to dismiss him.

At 39 years old, Djokovic continues to command close to a double-digit championship probability because of his Grand Slam history and ability to navigate best-of-five tennis.

His attempt to win a record 25th major remains one of the tournament's central storylines.

Taylor Fritz Moves Into the Next Tier

Fritz has moved into the next group of men's contenders at approximately 8%.

That places him ahead of Shelton on the current board and close to Arthur Fils.

The Americans enter New York with significantly more momentum than in many recent U.S. Opens.

Fritz won Washington during the summer hard-court swing.

Shelton successfully defended his Montreal title.

Frances Tiafoe reached the Cincinnati final.

That group is still clearly behind Alcaraz and Zverev in the championship market.

But the absence of Sinner and the questions surrounding Alcaraz have created a tournament in which a deeper run by an American contender does not look particularly improbable.

2026 U.S. Open Women's Title Odds After the Draw

The women's market is even less concentrated.

Player Polymarket Title Chance
Aryna Sabalenka 23%
Coco Gauff 16%
Iga Swiatek 15%
Naomi Osaka 7%
Jessica Pegula 7%
Mirra Andreeva 6%
Elena Rybakina 5%
Amanda Anisimova 5%

More than $7 million has been traded on the women's winner market.

Sabalenka remains the clear individual favorite.

But a 23% probability also means the market assigns roughly a three-in-four chance that someone else wins the tournament.

Gauff and Swiatek are both close enough that either could become the favorite with only modest early-round movement.

Sabalenka's Three-Peat Path Is Set

Sabalenka begins against Camila Osorio as she attempts to win a third consecutive U.S. Open title.

The top seed sits in a quarter projected to include Linda Noskova.

Possible earlier opponents include Barbora Krejcikova and Diana Shnaider.

Jessica Pegula occupies the other quarter of the top half.

That means Sabalenka and Pegula could potentially meet in the semifinals if both advance through their sections.

Sabalenka is still favored because of her hard-court résumé and consecutive titles in New York.

Her recent form has been less dominant.

She arrives after several disappointing results, including an early Cincinnati loss.

That has kept her probability much closer to the rest of the field than a two-time defending champion might ordinarily command.

Coco Gauff Has a Difficult but Manageable Quarter

Gauff begins against Zeynep Sonmez.

The Cincinnati champion enters New York with one of the strongest momentum profiles in the women's draw.

Her potential second-week path is demanding.

The projected quarterfinal matches Gauff with Mirra Andreeva.

Amanda Anisimova also occupies that section of the draw.

Other dangerous players nearby include Sara Bejlek, Iva Jovic and Alexandra Eala.

Gauff's current 16% Polymarket probability places her firmly behind Sabalenka but essentially alongside Swiatek in the second tier.

Her Cincinnati title provides evidence that her hard-court game is peaking at the right time.

The draw gives her several obstacles before the final.

Swiatek and Rybakina Land in the Same Quarter

The bottom quarter may be the most interesting section of the women's bracket.

Swiatek is the No. 8 seed.

Rybakina is No. 2.

If the seeds hold, they meet in the quarterfinals.

That section also contains several former Grand Slam champions and major contenders.

Naomi Osaka is positioned there.

Madison Keys and Belinda Bencic are also nearby.

Swiatek's current market price is especially notable.

She sits around 15%, essentially even with Gauff and only eight percentage points behind Sabalenka despite being seeded eighth.

Her recent Toronto title helps explain the market's confidence.

She defeated Rybakina during that run and arrives in New York with significantly improved hard-court form.

The bracket is difficult.

Traders still view her as one of the three most likely champions.

Naomi Osaka Emerges as a Dangerous Draw Factor

Osaka has climbed into the 7% range on the current market.

That puts the two-time U.S. Open champion approximately even with Pegula and ahead of several higher-seeded players.

Her placement makes the bottom quarter particularly complicated.

A potential Osaka-Rybakina fourth-round matchup would put two of the most powerful hard-court players in the tournament against each other before the quarterfinals.

The winner could then encounter Swiatek.

That concentration of championship experience creates one of the biggest contrasts between the two halves of the women's draw.

Pegula Has Another Opportunity in New York

Pegula sits around 7% on Polymarket.

The No. 3 seed has been placed in the top half, opposite Gauff.

Her projected quarterfinal opponent is Karolina Muchova.

Pegula reached the 2024 U.S. Open final and arrives this year after another strong season.

She also reached the Cincinnati final immediately before New York.

The draw keeps her away from Gauff, Swiatek and Rybakina until a potential final.

Sabalenka is the larger obstacle on Pegula's side.

If the seeds hold, the two could meet in the semifinals.

Which Players Benefited Most From the U.S. Open Draw?

Zverev has one of the strongest cases on the men's side.

His half does not contain Alcaraz, Djokovic or Medvedev.

That gives the top seed a comparatively cleaner projected route to the final.

Alcaraz received the opposite result.

The defending champion remains the market favorite but now has a bracket containing several of the players most capable of making a deep run.

The women's draw is less straightforward.

Sabalenka avoids Gauff, Swiatek and Rybakina until the final, but Pegula remains a possible semifinal opponent.

Gauff has a potentially difficult Andreeva quarterfinal.

Swiatek and Rybakina may have the toughest projected quarter because they share it with Osaka and several other proven hard-court threats.

Those differences are exactly why draw day matters in an outright futures market.

A player's ability does not change when the bracket is announced.

The route required to win seven matches does.

How the U.S. Open Polymarket Winner Markets Work

Polymarket offers separate outright winner contracts for the men's and women's U.S. Open singles tournaments.

Each listed player's price represents a market-implied probability that the player wins the championship.

A Yes position on Alcaraz, for example, resolves at $1 if Alcaraz officially wins the men's singles title.

If another player wins, the Alcaraz Yes side resolves at $0.

The same structure applies to the women's market.

Prices can change throughout the tournament as traders react to results, injuries, withdrawals and changes in the remaining bracket.

That means the current probabilities are live estimates rather than fixed preseason forecasts.

The markets can move substantially after only one round.

Who Will Win the 2026 U.S. Open?

The official draw has made both championship markets more interesting.

Alcaraz remains the men's favorite at approximately 26%, but Zverev has closed the gap to around 23%.

The bracket gives Zverev a cleaner theoretical route while placing Alcaraz in the same half as Djokovic and Medvedev.

That leaves the men's market considerably tighter than it was earlier in Fan Week.

The women's championship is even more open.

Sabalenka leads at approximately 23%.

Gauff sits around 16%.

Swiatek follows at approximately 15%.

No woman owns even a one-in-four market-implied chance of winning the title.

The draw has now removed one of the biggest unknowns.

Beginning Sunday, the probabilities will start responding to actual singles results.

Until then, Alcaraz and Sabalenka remain the favorites.

Neither enters the first round with anything close to complete control of the market.
